Day Twelve - December 12, 1998

This page is dedicated to my dad, Floyd Alexander Peckel,
and his mom - my loving grandma - Ida Peckel,
both of whom passed away in December, 1997.

Though you cannot be with me Christmas evermore
you nevertheless will be so long as I have memory.



















































I am certain my dad is in a place where he fills each day
teaching little children how to catch a bull frog,
find a worm or tickle a puppy's belly.

Grandma sits in her "golden" rocking chair,
quite bemused by my father's antics,
knitting yet another warm sweater
for my winters to come.

Christmas is a time to remember loved ones
near, far and gone forevermore.

Hug them while you can.

Make nice memories for
when you can't :)
